About Us

Raytec Ltd is a private limited liability company based in Lower Hutt, New Zealand.

The company was founded by Ray Chanmugam in December 2000. He is a highly experienced and skilled engineer with over 30 years experience in academia and industry. He holds a B.Eng. (Honours) in mechanical engineering and a D.Tp. Class 1 (Chief Engineer) in marine engineering.

Other Awards include:

• The Institute of Mechanical Engineers prize for 1995
• The Thorn Lighting Innovation Cup for 1995
• The Project Poster Prize

Ray graduated with CAD at Middlesex University, London in 1995. During this time he worked with AutoCAD and Ideas Master Series.

In New Zealand he managed a design company and won the local business awards in 1999.

Ray’s considerable engineering and design experience and track record of achievement ensures that clients are provided with the highest standard of support.
