Autodesk Inventor professional includes a comprehensive range of parametric modelling tools such as: part, assembly, and drawing creation tools; sheet metal tools; welded part tools; surface creation, manipulation, and repair tools; and Inventor Studio for the creation of simulation and graphical representations of the model.

Inventor Professional also includes various industry-specific tools. These include:

AIP Routing which includes two environments - one for the creation of wire harnesses and wiring systems, and another for the creation of piping, tubing, and flexible hose systems.
AIP Simulation also includes two environments - one for single part finite element analysis, and another for both the kinematics and kinetic analysis of assembled parts
